Howdy again! Nope, not dead.  Not buried with work, even.  But the weather is getting better and every chance they get the boys are dragging me out to do something. Yesterday we went on a long drive in the country, visited some antique stores, a lake, couple of favorite restaurants, and ended the day by chasing down a chicken that had escaped from the run. It is always the same chicken. We have never actually caught her at it, so don't know exactly how she is getting out. But a sense of adventure can be fatal in an area with coyotes, bears, and bobcats. We always count the chickens before nightfall.

We have crazy amounts of eggs in the fridge.  I think we are up to 10 dozen, and it is not even summer! During the summer tourist season we can set out a "fresh eggs for sale" sign, but that won't be for a while yet. According to state law, a small "farm" like our place cannot sell eggs to the public anywhere off our own property. So we can't sell at farmer's markets or even deliver eggs to people who order them. I need to find some more egg recipes.

Work is going good.  The new director loves my work, and they even gave me a nice raise this season.  I am quietly dreading the end of the month, when the 22 minute series is supposed to start up again. I really don't know how I am going to do it all. Maybe it is finally time to farm out some storyboard clean-up work. I am also updating my professional website...not like I actually need more work right now but I need to be prepared.  It is embarrassing pointing people to a 3 year old portfolio site.

Back to work! No storyboard deadline until Wednesday, but I owe pics. I also need to design a banner for the website, do laundry, and cook something  so we are not tempted to go have dinner out again. Since they closed the local diner past winter, the closest restaurant with decent food is 20 minute drive away. The next closest place is 45 minutes drive away. It kills the whole evening to have dinner out.
